4 cups sliced fresh apples OR
2 cans pie-sliced apples (not apple pie filling), undrained
1 tablespoon flour
½ cup brown sugar
2/3 cup half and half
Topping:
2/3 cup flour
½ cup rolled oats
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 package dry butterscotch flavor cook-and-serve pudding mix (not instant)
1 stick butter, melted
Peel, core and slice fresh apples. Arrange apples in a 9 X 13-inch baking pan. Whisk together brown sugar, 1 tablespoon flour and half and half. Pour over apples. Mix 2/3 cup flour, oats, brown sugar and pudding mix. Sprinkle over apples and drizzle evenly with melted butter. Bake at 350 degrees 35 to 45 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is toasty.
